Reason for Volunteering: I want to volunteer in Guiding Souls as i wanted to work with an NGO who provides Training and Education through various programs to people. Since i am a skilled professional in Training it is the best opportunity where i can contribute to society through my gained skill. I would be happy if my skill is utilized for the nation. I would also sharpen my skills further if get such exposure and involved in such learning programs.
Mukesh Pandey is an activist who is committed to convince and sensitize people to save and love environment. Throughout his five years work, while handling different programs, he has taken responsibility to work
with community directly. He has convinced many in his Village and nearby area about the importance of having a Clean and Green environment, and has persuaded many of them (of conservative mindset) to plant trees and have clean environment around them wherever possible. Currently he is focusing to mitigate migration of tribal at Myorpur Sonebhadra Uttar-Pradesh. Considering the root cause of migration of Tribal, he with the help of volunteers and villagers has started to turn mindset of farmers towards adopting "Climate Smart Agriculture" Under the NABARD's scheme, he has trained many farmers to use climate resilient seeds, crop and judicious use of natural resources to get more benefit for long times. As deforestation also destroyed livelihood of tribal, therefore bringing them in their loving livelihood, Mukesh has started an orchard based livelihood program for 600 tribal where verity of fruit plants have been planted in 700 acres and tribal has started intercropping in their barren land as well. He has successfully organized several times mega plantation drive programs, to stop deforestation, Mukesh Pandey is also an ILO's (International labor organization) certified green business trainer, and has imparted training in various states of India. He has done PGDMN (post graduate diploma in NGOs Management) from EDI (Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India) Ahemdabad India.
